This equipment announces with
its intergrated VHF transmitter the most important information to the
pilot such as weather and approach parameters, during the absence of the
tower controller.
The transmitting of the announcement can be in continuous operation or as soon as a pilot use talks on the frequency :the included electronic memory allows it to answer instantaneously . In last case the channel is free to traffic between announces. This equipment is also available with runway remote control system (see SLT 300 leaflet) and can be used like transceiver (normal or emergency operations). |
